BaseCricket

Where Cricket Meets Baseball

A revolutionary hybrid sport combining the batting technique of cricket with the field strategy of baseball. Swing a cricket bat, run the bases, and score like never before.

Cricket Batting

Use a cricket bat and ball. The striker plays with classic cricket technique – drives, cuts, pulls, and sweeps.

Baseball Diamond

Play on a full baseball diamond with four bases. Fielding positions follow baseball's classic 9-player layout.

Hybrid Scoring

Score 1-3 runs by running bases. Hit a boundary four for 4 runs, or clear the fence for a home run worth 6!

Cricket Dismissals

Get out via bowled, caught, or run out – just like cricket. 7 players per team, 3 innings, 7 wickets end each innings.

Base Advancement Logic

  • Striker starts at Home Base and hits the ball
  • On a single/double/triple, striker advances that many bases
  • All runners on bases also advance the same number of bases
  • Multiple players can occupy the same base
  • Any runner who reaches or passes Home Base scores 1 run per base they ran
  • Players arriving at Home Base wait there — Captain picks the next striker
  • Striker changes after every single, double, or triple
  • On a boundary 4 or 6: only the striker scores (automatic), no base running, striker does NOT change

Batting Rules

  • Striker uses a cricket bat at home plate
  • Pitcher delivers a cricket ball from the mound
  • Striker can play any cricket shot
  • Each team has 7 players
  • After single/double/triple, a new striker is chosen from Home Base
  • Captain decides which player at Home Base bats next
  • 7 wickets = innings over
  • 3 innings per team per match

Running Rules

  • Striker runs 1B, 2B, or 3B depending on the hit
  • All base runners advance the same number of bases
  • A runner reaching Home scores runs equal to bases run
  • Multiple runners can sit on any base simultaneously
  • Runners at Home Base become available as next striker
  • Boundary 4/6 = automatic runs, no base running

Dismissal Rules

  • Bowled: Ball hits the stumps behind striker
  • Caught: Fielder catches ball on the full
  • Run Out: Fielder hits base before runner arrives
  • 7 outs (wickets) = innings over
  • 3 innings per team per match

Fielding Rules

  • 7 fielders on the field
  • Pitcher (P), Catcher (C)
  • 1B, 2B, 3B in the infield
  • LF, RF in the outfield
  • Fielders can catch, throw to bases, or hit stumps

Team Structure

  • Each team has 7 players
  • Match consists of 3 innings per team (6 total innings)
  • Each innings ends after 7 wickets or when overs are completed
  • ALL OUT: If the striker is dismissed and no player is waiting at Home Base or on the bench, the batting team is all out and the innings ends immediately
  • Teams alternate batting and fielding each innings
  • Team with most total runs after all 6 innings wins
